“Ugly Mag wanted to create something unpredictable for our 10th issue release.”
Ugly Magazine wanted to do something a bit more edgy for the launch of their 10th issue. So, we sat down with their team and came up with the idea that the party theme was going to be gold but that they didn't want it to come off as kitschy nor traditional. So, we found an abandoned warehouse, jumped a fence, drank some whiskey and got creative with Ashlyn Buchi (a bad-ass model from SLC) and Chris Owens (dancer for the BBOY Fed) in a narrative unlike anything Ugly has done before.
Of course the party was a huge success. Ori Media was invited to shoot the event that took place at CUAC, an urban gallery in the heart of downtown SLC.
